Species

              I did my research about the organism which is the Flame Tree. The Flame Tree 

species name is Brachychiton acerifolius. The meaning of species name of Flame tree 

is commonly known as the Illawarra  flame tree, is a large tree of the family Malvaceae 

native to subtropical regions on the east coast of  Australia.  The other relatives that 

relates to flame tree are Delonix regia, Brachychiton acerifolius, Koelreuteria bipinnata, 

Peltophorum, and  Spathodea.  How the flame trees get to the CNMI because the first 

Flame Trees were brought to Saipan by Francisco Borja Kaipat when he worked for the 

Marianas agriculture program in the 1960s. He led a group of people who planted about 

800 to 900 flame trees on Saipan. The oldest Flame Trees on island are a product of their 

work.

Adaptations

The adaptations of sweet nectar of the flowers attract the insects that could spread the pollen for to grow. Flowers and Tress are interacts with each other in the environment because they are both providers of oxygen. Butterfly eats the sweet nectar of this flower.

The adaptations of trees is bark of tress makes it difficult for plant to grow on tress. Vines have grown on and around tress. They adapted with stand harsh weathers. Grass and tress are interact with each other because they are both providers oxygen and provides animals and insects home.

The adaptations of grass includes withstand harsh temperatures and weather. They grow and provide for certain animals and insects. Grass and flowers are interact with each other because they both provide us oxygen. Insects and small animals use the grass as home, Grass is also foods of animals and insects.

      Site Description

The site that I had chosen is Coral Ocean Point. Coral Ocean Point is a Resort Club in Saipan that is surrounded by plants,trees and ocean and many known birds live there. As you can see in this pictures that's how Coral Ocean Point looks like. This place is quite, there is peace in this site. The abiotic features that is on the site are the rocks and the oceans. The biotic features that is on the site are the trees, plants and animals that live there. There a lot of tress there in the back and front of this site. The kind of trees there are Flame Tree and Coconut Tree. There is grass and plants in this site. The kind of plants there is Cosmos Plants. There is also birds there they are parrot, gulls, swift.
